KONTRA Friends Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Android app KONTRA Friends, package name com.kontra.friends, published by Kontra Friends on Google Play.
1. What the app is
KONTRA Friends is a turn-based five-a-side football game. You can:
– play against Easy, Normal, or Hard AI (Quick play);
– pass one phone between two players;
– join a friend on an HTTPS room server that you both enter.
The app does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not include public matchmaking.
2. Information we collect
Offline play
Quick play and one-phone matches stay on your device. They do not need the internet. In those modes, KONTRA Friends does not send your data to us.
Stored only on your device
The app may keep the following in its own storage on your phone:
– the room server address you typed;
– a saved room seat so you can resume an online match;
– display preferences (for example sound and graphics);
– an anonymous match log (mode, duration, action mix, result). This log has no names, room codes, tokens, or random seeds.
Android backup and device-to-device transfer of this storage are turned off so a room seat is not copied to another phone. Uninstalling the app deletes this storage.
Optional friend rooms
Online matches start only after you enter an HTTPS room server. The app has no built-in production server. When you play online, the following are sent only to the server address you typed:
– match actions (moves, passes, tackles, shots, and related game state);
– a random seat token created on your phone;
– the six-character room code.
KONTRA Friends does not receive that traffic unless you point the app at a server we operate. We do not sell this data. We do not use it for advertising.
Sharing an invite
Copy and share use Android’s clipboard and share sheet only when you choose to send an invitation. We do not read your clipboard otherwise.
3. How we use information
– To run the game on your device.
– To connect you to the room server you choose, if any.
– To remember your server, seat, and preferences on that device.
We do not use your data to show ads, build advertising profiles, or track you across other apps.
4. Permissions
– Internet: used only for the room server you configure.
– Vibration: used for optional match feedback.
The app does not use advertising IDs, analytics SDKs, location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or SMS.
5. Sharing
We do not share user data with advertisers or data brokers.
If you enter a room server, gameplay data listed above is sent to that server. That operator’s own privacy practices then apply. Choose a server you and your friend trust.
6. Retention and deletion
There are no KONTRA Friends user accounts.
– On-device data is removed when you uninstall the app, or when you clear the app’s storage in Android settings.
– You can clear a saved room server from the in-app Room server screen (offline mode).
– Data sent to a room server you configured is retained according to that server. Leaving a room and uninstalling the app stops further sending from this app.
7. Security
Release builds require HTTPS for room servers. Match actions to a configured server travel in transit over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children
The game is not directed at children. It has no chat, accounts, or public matchmaking. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a server you configured, stop using that server and uninstall the app.
9. Your choices
– Play fully offline (Quick play or one phone, two players) without entering a server.
– Change or remove the room server at any time.
– Decline copy/share; invites are sent only when you tap those controls.
– Uninstall the app to delete on-device data.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the in-app Privacy screen. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
